I was wondering if there was a Stuff Asian People Like site, and there is! I must admit… I agree with most of what is listed. When reading lists like these, I can’t help but have a quote from Avenue Q play over and over in my head: “Ethinic jokes might be uncouth, but you laugh because they’re based on truth. Don’t take them as personal attacks. Everyone enjoys them - so relax!”

List of Things Ali Likes That Asian People Like As Well (There are A LOT of Asian people out there. Does this include EVERYONE from the continent of Asia, or just what the US considers Asian (Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, etc.)? That’s more than half the world’s population… Learning about things like this was fun in soc classes.)

-Not Wearing Shoes Indoors (I did a post on this in my Anthropology class for some reason. Other Asians agreed.)

-Handwashing the Dishes (I finally learned how to use one in 2006. My mom and dad never used one. My grandparents have one, but it’s used for storage. Wha???)
-Bad Pronunciation
-Arriving Late
-Asian Buffets
-Staring at People
-Comparing People (So mean…)
-Jackie Chan (He’s so cute!)
-Hoarding (Examples: My mother, my grandmother, me.)
-Slurping (It’s messy.)
-Speaking Loudly (And laughing loudly, in my case.)
