I can hardly contain myself.

No, I did not go to Universal Knights. Hmm… third year in a row… am I ever going to go? No.
However, if I ever do go to Universal again, I will pwn on the Men In Black ride, quite possibly the best thing there. (Crystal Yu- I had another friend confirm that the Cat in the Hat ride is indeed a very swirly ride for such a kiddie attraction.)
Anyways, I’m applying my new nail polish, and I could hardly contain myself. I got Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in Bamboo Shoot. I have about three or four bottles of the brand, and while I haven’ liked Sally Hansen in the past (it’s, like, my grandmother’s favorite nail polish next to Revlon), I cannot stress how good this stuff is. I am a clumsy girl. I chip nail polish like there’s nothing else to do. My favorite things to do are curl my hair and apply nail polish, so it sucks when I have bad curly hair and when the nail polish sucks. If you buy a drugstore brand, buy this one, I swear by it. I started off trying the clear for my french manicures, and it worked beautifully- the tips seemed to never rub off. And when black was in fashion, this really kicked Chanel’s ass and cost much less. I wore that stuff forever and it also never rubbed like others have. The red was awesome, and I had it on last week. Also, it does seem like hard nail polish, unlike other kinds that get all goey on me.
I love applying nail polish, and I read that this spring’s trend was pale pink. *hmm* Now, I love all of the wrong colors when it comes to polish: brights red and pinks. I’ve never tried a pale color before, but ever since Amanda came home with a nice beige manicure, I’ve kind of wanted to do it myself. It looks nice, and if anything, it’s finally a more calmer nail polish compared to my other lovely choices. Bamboo Shoot rocks.
Ok, enough with this. I can’t believe I wrote about nail polish. I buy about three bottles of polish a month… it’s a happy thing for me. (In the future, I’d also want to try purple colors.)
Billy and I did not go to Joshua Radin last Wednesday. Opted instead to watch “Lost,” and we caught The Starting Line the next night. Waffles! Fun times.
I went to that bridal gown sale today at school. The coordinator of the whole thing picked three dresses for me to wear. Apparently, I am a size 8, and surprisingly, puffy things are fun to wear. Ali looks good as the Good Witch from The Wizard of Oz? Modern styles don’t look good on me, by the way. I tried, but it wasn’t good at all. All of the dresses fit well except in the bust. I still really love my dress. I was excited to browse, though… dresses are nice. I was momentarily captured by a Fox 35 cameraman at the event, but I think I was too self-conscious and that made him rush away. *score!*
I am still madly in love with my dress, if only I could correctly fix the sleeves into off-the-shoulder.
Billy and I watched telly tonight, and we got to see Amanda getting ready to leave. I love seeing Amanda! And no, Amanda, I don’t think you’re a bad person at all, you’re too sweet for me to think of you as a… woman of ill repute. Got Billy to watch the episode of “This American Life,” which he so lovingly got for me. I still dislike bulls. We ate Papa Johns Pizza for the second time in 24 hours… it was so good. I think we’ve had our fill of garlic and peppers for a while.
I got to talk to Brandi and Ana today! It was lovely. I really miss my friends. I know we’re all branching out in our lives, but it’s beautiful to go back to the root of things.
Speaking of branches, I still want the following things at the Bi+Ba Wedding Spectacular: paper lanterns, paper cherry blossoms, creative guest book, Billy, kilts, The Shining, dancing. And lumpia and puto. Duh. (Ok, that’s the last time I talk about wedding things.)
This weekend, I am working on schoolwork and cleaning up big time. AMANDA, TAKE OUT THE TRASH!
