Ali typing on a keyboard produces this.

Every month, I set aside an iTunes allowance. This is a new thing for me- I have been building up a CD collection for the last eight years. How can I just turn to buying the electronic versions? There are environmental (less waste produced) and economical (streamlined inexpensive) reasons, but I still feel so guilty.
You know there’s something strange when you buy something heard on the MySpace page of Jenna Fischer- then you know you’ve crossed a line that you can never go back on. Yes, I bought a CD that had a song that was playing on Pam Beesley’s MySpace. I spent December’s iTunes allowance one week after I spent November’s iTunes allowance. I got very good mileage out of Nickel Creek, however. Next allowance, I am going to have to restrain myself and *consider* what to buy next. Impulsive buying is my vice.
In other news, I am allowed to listen to the new music (by Wisely) if I finish a significant portion of my work for this week. Tonight is a few solid hours of typing up summaries and then my presentation. I’m going well on my planned schedule. I just hope I don’t get sidetracked (especially by blogging or buying unnecessary tracks).
I want to remake my version of Julie Delpy’s shirt from “Before Sunset.” I tried making one last summer, but… it needs better material. The gauzy black worked well, but a next one would have to be a little more form fitting some how. The tent look did not go well with me. It looks fine now, though… despite the random pieces of lint stuck on it.
By the way, from my previous pickle receiving experiences, I have liked the smaller jars as presents. As a child, I loved the bigger institutional sizes, but this may be a side-effect of being undernourished. Rice gets very boring after a while. Pickles are much better.
Tonight is Monday- is there a new epi of “How I Met Your Mother” on? I have missed many of the episodes this season, but every time I catch one, I cannot help but be impressed. The DVD came out last Tuesday. I was tempted, and even picked it up, but I said no. It’s bad enough I bought “The Office” and not “The X-Files.” How can someone turn on their roots??
Back to work.
I’ve added the Cupcake Courier to my XMAS list… or rather, my wedding registry. It is absolutely UNnecessary… so far.
