thrifting has sucked out my soul…

it’s tuesday. first $1 day of the week (the other being thursday). the last two times i went on these days, at two different stores, i spent around $6. (well, only $3; grandma spent the other $3.) at the first store, i bought my vintage bowling ball bag with a pair of perfectly ba sized bowling shoes and even a wrist thingy and ball towel (”baby your ball”) from the pensacola women’s bowling association and two dresses (one of which i wore the other day!). at the second store, my grandmother bought me this horribly useless gunne sax dress that i wanted just because it looked like it fitted me perfectly (which it does!) and a strange 80s 2 piece set that i plan to make into a dress (it’s so sheer, though).
it’s 1 am, and it’s tuesday. i am also broke, and i need at least 5 dollars to shop today. i’d rather shop than buy more gasoline.
my passion is fueled by unnecessary browsing through blogs of other thrifters, who find the most amazing things. those who find cute childrens things are the best because they often show pictures of their own cute children in adorable secondhand things.
i also saw TWO CUPS that match the pattern style of the absolutely cute bowls i bought at the korean market in virginia for billy and i. the cups were only $1 for the person who bought them- who would even part with them? the style has cute little animals making funny faces or just being plain adorable, and i am going to start collecting those things one day.
ok, i should continue cleaning if i want to go to bed without feeling guilty soon. two corners of my room are now mostly clean. i am kind of proud of my “book nook,” although i don’t think i like how i repositioned the book display. i do like my viewmaster wall thingy that i did, though!
