while i do love real flowers (rather conventional) and dislike silk flowers (rather… villarama), i really love paper flowers. with paper, i can make the big fluffy kinds of flowers that i love so much (like peonies!). (i tried making some paper blooms last year, but with little success). the color schemes are just endless, and you can really tailor it to your needs.
i would totally do a whole wedding with paper flowers. at least no dead petals around. and nothing wilting, ick. or browning. or thorns hitting you upside the head. lovely.
