The Dillio

Presentation done. I wouldn’t want to talk about it, but I have these two things to say: I spoke to fast and tripped over words.
If you thought Sociology was an easy major, I hope you rot in hell (this is going to all of those freshmen who think it’s easy). You’ve gotta love what you do. It’s hard. It’s amazing at the slowest pace, yet your heard explodes everytime you think of data orĀ a statistical figure. LOVE IT, OKAY? Maybe I’m just a little too into it.
I really need to consider doing my government homework.
Things I really like right now have to do with music. Finally got my photos on my iPod nano, and when I click through them really quickly, it’s like my life is passing by me on a cute little screen. To download good music temporarily (very, very temporarily), go to Amazon.com’s digital music section. To listen to good music and explore similar artists, go to Pandora. Not only do you get to listen to things you know, but things that you would have listened to if you knew they existed (current personal radio channels include Nickel Creek, Jewel, Big Star, and Barenaked Ladies). ALSO, best find of the day has been NPR’s All Songs Considered live concert series(hehe, like All Things Considered… I always giggle at that) program that you can either listen on the radio, or download from the site. The most amazing thing- if you ever thought NPR was for old people, have you ever listened? When I was in middle school, I started listening to the World Cafe every night, and let me tell ya, half of what I listen to today has been inspired by that show. Anyways, the All Songs Considered series is a great collection of what can be heard today as the who’s who of indie rock- Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Sigur Ros, and a personal favorites, Iron & Wine and Wilco. For Krista, there’s Bright Eyes AND David Gray (yum). SO GOOD. SO FREE. SO GO AND DOWNLOAD SOME FREE LISTENING GOODNESS!
If I put this much into my government hw, I would be a much better person.
Things I did over the weekend: found out that the guy who did the MySpace project in my class is Padriac Burns, but you pronounce is “Patrick,” ate beer battered fries in a beer bottle container at Wackadoo’s, went swing dancing with Billy and saw Jenn Trollinger and her fiance, ate at Red Lobster the same day I went with Billy and his church bandmates to Kobe (yummy food, my new favorite, but so expensive, like going to Crazy Buffet), went to church for the first time in a month or so, did laundry, window shopping with Bi, failed helicopter experience, beat Bill at THUG 2! (lies), AND YUMMY CURRY AND GREY’S ANATOMY!
Here are reems (is that a word?) of photographs. And I took a vow of celibacy. And ate two apple sauce cups.
