For now, I have seriously decided that I will somehow make Bright Eyes’ “First Day Of My Life” the first dance song for Billy and I. I don’t know how- it’s quiet and so far, very little dance moves have come to mind (lots of cutesy spinning, I tell you what…), but this song is undeniably cute. And Billy must hate it that all I think about when getting married (besides being married to the most wonderful man in the world!) is music.
Top Wedding Music Choices So Far…
The Shining by Badly Drawn Boy
Come Away With Me by Norah Jones
Northern Sky by Nick Drake
Brighter Than Sunshine by Aqualung
Collide by Howie Day
Such Great Heights by Iron & Wine
You and Me Song by the Wannadies
Who knows… I shouldn’t be thinking about these kinds of things… a wedding is not a musical extravaganza… but music does play a huge part in our relationship, so it doesn’t hurt. (Anyway I can cram that ultra-sexy “Crash Into Me” song by Dave Matthews Band… it sounds sweet, but I am a total perv sometimes, and no one would notice… mwahahaha.)
Anyways, here are some things that happened that I forgot to mention:
* I like the stir sticks I bought at Target last night.
* I am really sad that I couldn’t find “The Constant Gardener” soundtrack at Best Buy last night.
* I am trying not to be abusive.
* Bob the dog tried to hug me… his stubby, stuffed arms didn’t achieve much.
* I went to Tampa with Billy and his dad on Sunday. Wow, who knew church band rehearsal could be so… obviously boring for anyone not playing, lol.
* I <3 my Target cheese sticks.
* I ate an unimpressive salad for lunch. It needed BACON BITS!
* Krista lives!
* I have gone to the potty about seven times so far today… it’s only 11:45 AM.
* Last night, I couldn’t sleep because I was hot (swexy Ba!), and I heard the guy living in the next room fooling around with his girlfriend at 4 AM.
* Yesterday, BILLY AND I SAW A WOMAN WITH A XOOTR MG! I was soooo psyched. Thank goodness Billy saw it… I’ve never seen anyone with one, and let me tell you… it is beautiful. The dots on the board were so nice! WHY DID THE WEIRD OLDER LADY HAVE ONE? NO FAIR!
* For the first time ever, I actually talked to everyone yesterday: Krista, Kyle, Jenna, Brandi, AND Ana. Amazing. Busy cell phone day!
* Mrs. Riggins had a good shopping day on Friday, and that inspired me to do some shopping the next day. Besides the things I am going to return, I decided to keep a shiny-ish black skirt, a dark brown skirt, and a dress. All very cheap… never thought I would buy things from JCPenny or Sears again. Mrs. Riggins also saw “Something New,” which I had wanted to see, and she said it was good, but apparently the really, really hot landscaper guy didn’t take his shirt off enough (!!!).
* Battlestar: Galactica is getting on my nerves. It’s like Grey’s Anatomy… I can’t end watching an episode without saying “I hate this show” because it’s so good. (And BTW- Meredith… don’t kill George! OMG, he’s so… kind of noble? Reminds me of Billy. He’d totally admit he’s grown his hair out for me. Billy- thank you for not cutting your hair until after my birthday.)
* CURLING RULES!
* I am not doing my homework right now. I have weird braided pigtails, and I am in peppermint candy cane pajamas.
* I VOTED! Yes, all you evil Nazi armies (Billy’s words, not mine) of candidate supporters, I ALREADY VOTED, FOR THE ONE PARTY WHO DIDN’T HAVE AN ARMY OUT THERE. The guy I voted for gave me a slip last week, and I just think it was so cute that Skandera/Munson (vote for them!) were the only ones doing their rallying by themselves, in their cute little suits and all (ok, they’re tall). Let’s hope strange cuteness is not why I voted. Billy is coming up with reasons why he should run for SGA president… but I’m not sure all of them are valid. However, he does have some good points, and voters should not be hassled by supporters all day to make a decision.
* I saw the movie “The White Countess” with Amanda, Perisa (DID I SPELL THAT RIGHT, YET?), and her sister Alicia. We got to cruise through Winter Park in Perisa’s Audi… I felt special. Enzian is a cool place! I want to take my friends there next weekend if they want to see “Cache.” Awesomeness!
* Bday plans: hug attack friends, and do any of the following: play Cranium, Trish’s Teas (way expensive), Lazy Moon, mall, Winter Park, Enzian, WINTER PARK BOAT TOUR! (please… refrain), dinner somewhere, etcetera. NEXT WEEKEND IS THE KRISTA AND ALI BIRTHDAY EXTRAVAGANZA!
* Child abuse is such an intriguing topic. I want to take more classes on it.
* I just found out that my bottle of lemon expires today. How sad… I still had about half of it left.
* Just ate my second cheesestick. I am addicted.
* I FORGOT EVERYTHING ELSE I WANTED TO TALK ABOUT. I’ll bbl, though… you know it. Adios!
