So… seems like I’ve been MIA forever, eh? Well, I have. And it sucks. It really does. I have no job. I don’t do anything all day but eat ice. Why don’t I steal away to the computer more often and update this journal of mine?
Like I said, I tend to not do anything all day.
I went to Puerto Rico. I loved the place, and I can’t get over how pretty it was. Definitely go back again some other time.
Everyone read that article about Rabbi Ostrich yesterday? I’m going to miss him, he rocked! And Adam was a dweeb, but you can’t mess with anyone who’s dorky enough to dress like Neo and recite a whole monologue for a costume party.
I think right now I wanted to write about books. I live basically without Internet and cable television (one can only watch the Food Network so much, and even then, Good Eats only comes on twice a day… oh the humanity…). I read a lot these days, so I bought another library card ($3) and payed some of my $2.90 fine ($1.50) and checked out eight books and a cd (priceless). As of last night, I finished six of those books, and another book that I had left in my car. Right now, for today, I have a Marquez and MY FIRST DAVID SEDARIS BOOK to read. (I’m wholly excited about the David Sedaris part, lol.) I need to stop reading. Every single day, I wake up around 6:30 and I can’t go back to sleep, so I sit in bed until noon, reading. And since I don’t do anyhting else all day, I keep reading all day. And I go through books fast. Last night was the worst. I woke up at 3 something am to go to the bathroom, and ended up reading the rest of Jhumpa Lahiri’s first novel, The Namesake, until 5:50. My head hurts. I need a schedule in life.
And I also need someone to see the freakin’ Batman movie with me even though no one wants to… maybe Henry will.
Ok, I’ve just eaten a lot of ice, and my nose feels cold. I shall go now. Have a great day.
(P.S. The sweet yeast rolls from Food World ARE THE BEST THINGS I HAVE EVER TRIED IN MAY LIFE!… so far.)
