I Am Charlotte Simmons should not have been written. At least not by Wolfe. Geez. When I read his “Bonfire of the Vanities” in middle school, it was ok. It was okay because it was written “back in the day,” and Wolfe was at least younger. Maybe even in tune then.
But, I don’t know is I Am Charlotte Simmons is stupid because I haven’t read it. Well, if you party and are having a regular time in college, check it out. (I don’t want to hear a 73 year old writing about collegiate sex.)
I hear it weighs, like, a million pounds, lol.
